About
Dr. Emily LaCount is a board-certified family medicine physician who cares for the whole family, from newborns to end-of-life care. A Colorado native who grew up in Fort Collins, she earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency with North Colorado Family Medicine in Sterling, where she earned certificates in Advanced Maternity Care and Leadership. She then practiced full-scope family medicine with surgical obstetrics in Sterling before joining us in Akron.
Dr. LaCount is passionate about pediatrics, women’s health, and procedures, and she partners with patients through evidence-based education and shared decision-making. Outside the clinic, she enjoys time outdoors with her dog, Mowgli, musicals, travel, and her six siblings, nieces, and nephews.
