About

Alan Favier is a Family Nurse Practitioner whose healthcare journey began as an EMT before spending six years as an ER nurse at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. He earned his RN from Front Range Community College and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. During his clinical training in Yuma, he was struck by the unique challenges and rewards that come with rural healthcare delivery. The opportunity to serve a community where providers can develop relationships with multiple generations of families resonated with his vision of comprehensive primary care. After completing his training, he returned to establish his practice in Yuma, drawn by the professional fulfillment of addressing rural healthcare needs and the community’s welcoming spirit.

While his emergency background gives him acute solid care skills, Favier was drawn to family medicine to develop ongoing patient relationships. He has recently developed expertise in weight control medicine, recognizing the effectiveness of current medication options and the significant impact of weight management on overall health outcomes.

Favier focuses on family life outside his medical practice, particularly with his younger children. His commitment to public health and safety is evidenced by his volunteer work with Multnomah County Search and Rescue, the American Red Cross, and the Emergency Nurses Association’s Government Action Committee.
