Dr. Alexander Blitch is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Family Medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for individuals and families in Yuma and the surrounding communities. He completed his medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine as a RUUTE Scholar and his residency at Fort Collins Family Medicine. With a background in biomedical engineering—including leading the development of a biodegradable ureter stent—he brings innovation and a patient-centered approach to rural healthcare.
His clinical expertise includes ultrasound-guided joint injections, skin procedures, contraceptive care (IUD/Nexplanon), pediatric and geriatric care, women’s health, preventative care, emergency medicine, and medical Spanish.
Dr. Blitch has cared for patients across diverse settings, including behavioral health, addiction medicine (Suboxone), and community clinics offering free and low-cost services. He lives locally in Yuma and is actively involved in community outreach, health fairs, and supporting Spanish-speaking families.
