Meet Our Providers

Dr. Caitlin Ahern received her Medical degree in 1993 from the University of Utah, School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Dr. Ahern started working for the Yuma District hospital in December 1995 as a weekend locum, covering the Emergency Room on occasional weekends through July 1996. She began working as a family practitioner at YDH in September 1996. Dr. Ahern’s expertise in medicine, coupled with sincerity and compassion for her patients helped her to successfully build a loyal and trusting cliental.

In July 2002, Dr. Ahern decided to leave the Yuma District Hospital to start her own practice in Ft. Collins. After a time, she found that running a business took too much time away from her love of medicine; she currently works at Poudre Valley Hospital Harmony Urgent Care in Ft. Collins. Dr. Ahern rejoined the YDH medical staff in November 2006, practicing family medicine at the Akron Clinic. She is available to see patients on Monday afternoons, Tuesdays, and Wednesday mornings.

Caitlin Ahern currently resides in Ft. Collins with her husband Bob, and their two children, Lily and Jake. Dr. Ahern enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, reading a good mystery novel, and using her gourmet cooking skills to prepare and share meals with her family and friends.

Hello! My name is Corrie Goodier and I am joining the Akron Clinic as its newest Family Nurse Practitioner. I recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with my Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practice, and I’m continuing my studies there as a doctorate student. I am also anxiously waiting to hear back from Duke University regarding a post-graduate certificate in Endocrinology, so I can better help care for anyone that might need help with those health concerns! (Fingers crossed I am accepted) Prior to graduating with my FNP I had been a Registered Nurse for 13 years; with experience in mental health, hospice, oncology, and emergency services.

I’m from the mountains of Colorado where I live with my husband, three kids, two dogs, and a kitten. We love hiking and being outdoors, reading, and being creative with arts and crafts. I have a passion for public and global health and work closely with a non-profit organization in Kenya providing well-child checks for students, education assistance, and empowerment courses.

I look forward to serving the community here and to getting to know all of you!

My wife and I with our 4 children currently live in Brush Colorado where we’ve lived for the past 7
years. We love hunting, fishing, and hiking in the great outdoors. My kids are 10,9,6, and 4 and very busy in sports and gymnastics. Prior to living in Colorado, we have lived in Alaska, Idaho and Oregon. Alaska was by far my favorite state to live in but my wife’s yearning for sunshine is what brought us here.

I love medicine and helping others achieve their optimal health. I believe that with the right attitude, education and partnership, everyone can achieve improved health and happiness. I aim to become that partner in your health that provides clarity and resolution to the problem you may have. I promise to listen to your concerns, provide you options and ways to investigate and resolve the issue, and provide
timely feedback when a workup is started. As far as I’m concerned you are family, and no one will be treated differently.

I look forward to meeting with you and your family and creating goals in order to maintain and improve your current health for many years to come.
